- Zero hunger and Poverty Alleviation: To reduce poverty and improve the standard of living among marginalized or low-income populations by providing them with opportunities for income generation and economic empowerment. The increased income will lead to zero hunger. This shall be done through promotion of high value crops and provision of income generation activities.
- Sustainable Livelihoods: To promote sustainable livelihood strategies that help individuals and communities meet their basic needs while safeguarding the environment and natural resources for future generations.
- Skill Development: To enhance the skills and capacities of individuals, particularly those in underserved areas, to make them more employable or entrepreneurial, thus increasing their income and economic self-sufficiency. Provide training programs and workshops to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmers and agricultural professionals.
- Employment Generation: To create job opportunities, both wage employment and self-employment, by supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurship, and vocational training. This will reduce the vulnerability of disempowered communities.
- Financial Inclusion: To promote access to financial services such as microcredit, savings, and insurance to enable individuals to invest in income-generating activities and manage financial risks.
- Gender Equality: To address gender disparities and empower women by providing them with equal opportunities and resources for livelihood development. Promote gender equity in agriculture by ensuring women’s access to resources, training, and decision-making roles.
- Education and Training: To offer education and training programs that equip individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge for sustainable livelihoods, including literacy, functional adult literacy, vocational training, and entrepreneurship education.
- Market Linkages: To link producers with markets, helping them access broader customer bases and secure fair prices for their products and services. Facilitate access to markets and promote value-added agricultural activities to improve income for farmers and enhance their resilience.
- Social Inclusion: To ensure that marginalized groups, such as ethnic minorities, disabled individuals (persons with disabilities; PWDs), and refugees, have equal access to livelihood opportunities and benefits.
- Environmental Sustainability: To incorporate environmentally responsible practices into livelihood activities (green businesses practices) and advocate for the conservation of natural resources.
